The First Session

One time at band camp... haha. A few weeks ago, as I was out driving around my town taking photos of all the things that caught my attention, I had time to reflect on where my photography has taken me and when I really began to desire being a photographer. I thought about my father (he was a photographer) and I knew that watching him take photos, helping him develop them in his studio, and seeing the extraordinary results, was why I had the desire and passion for capturing the timeless moments of life. While my kids were growing up I always took pictures of everything, but I never dove deeper into photography. I didn't have the time or the good equipment. The more I thought about it though, I realized my first real photo shoot was of my son when he was 17. He was outgoing and fun to be around. At the time, he was considering becoming a model (he really should have) and so we went forward with a photoshoot near the trailer we lived in. The photos turned out beautiful and amazing. I strongly believe this was when I had fully developed my desire to become a photographer. Enjoy the slideshow.
