Welcome to the wonderful world of writing.

Why I write

When I was a little girl I wanted to be anywhere but home. I dreamed of traveling to new and adventurous places. But alas, I was just a little girl. I began to think of ways my cat and I could be in another place and time without leaving the comfort of my bedroom. The library was my home away from home. I loved to read so much, I wanted to become a writer. Thus began my journey. I found myself creating the new and exciting places I had always longed to go to by writing them in my notebooks.

As an adult, I have come to understand the LORD has blessed me with a gift. I truly believe God gives each of us a unique gift when we are young, then he waits until the right time to give us a calling. The gift comes first so we may perfect them with years of hard work and growth. When the time is right, the LORD will call us to use our gifts to share his grace with the world around us.

What I write

For the longest time, I would write short stories (4 pages max) and easy things such as a book about jokes or a 'how to' book for kids. Of course, at the time I was a kid and I had very little to write about. I had tried my hand at writing a neighborhood newsletter for the kids on my block, but after writing the wrong thing about the wrong bully, I changed my mind.

Now, I have several different projects I am working on. One is a fiction novel I started many years ago which was pushed to the side temporarily but I have begun to rewrite. I am writing and illustrating a series of children's books I created about four years ago, which are fun to work on. My two nonfiction novels are still in the beginning phase of creation; yes, the outline. I am also writing and illustrating comic books and graphic novels. My newest idea, is a to create a Christian comic book. Right now, I am still in the thinking phase with that one.

My main projects right now are my comic books and graphic novels. I have two new kittens and during the first week in our home I found myself laughing constantly. Bling...bling. I have a new comic to write and illustrate about two kittens who leave their owners home and peruse the neighborhood looking for adventure. My primary GN is Azor's Adventures. It is about a little alien alone on his home planet with no one but his robot friend, Robix, and his pet fish, Moonch. Together they will travel the universe in search of others like him. Traveling to planets, galaxy's, and new places never before seen, they will laugh, make friends, and of course get into trouble. But will he ever find others of his own kind? You'll have to visit here often to find out.

Who I write for

As a youngling, I wrote for myself. As a teen, I wrote for myself and my friends. As and adult I write for many.

I write for the LORD, because he gave me the gift of love. I have spent years growing as a writer and perfecting my gifts. I use my skills in writing to bring the Word of God , the Peace of God, and the Love of God, to those in my community.

I write for the public. I want to bring my fiction and nonfiction stories, articles, letters, and adventures to people who can appreciate them. I love to write for kids and their parents. I am currently working on a writing project I hope will bring more parents and children together.

I write for my daughter, Jocelyn. She is my joy and inspiration. She is my muse for a few of my writing projects. She is opinionated and headstrong, but she is also very kind and giving. I write with the intention of publishing, so I can show her if you work hard enough and do not give up, you can achieve your greatest dreams in life.
